CHVRCHES is a band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 2011. The band includes Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, and Martin Doherty.
The band chose the name Chvrches, using a Roman "v" so they could distinguish themselves from actual churches on internet searches. (Source)
Their songs consists of synth-pop, indie pop and electronic dance music. In 2013 their first EP, Recover was released which included the hit, The Mother We Share.
Chvrches most recent album, Screen Violence was released August 27, 2021. The band started recording the album during February of 2020. They are currently touring in various countries, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Mexico, and the United States. [Learn more].

This Chvrches fansite is created by me, Melissa! I've been a big fan of Chvrches music since 2013 when I was looking for upbeat music to listen to when I exercised. I luckily found their music shortly after they released their hit single, The Mother We Share. I have been following the band ever since.
